Business discovery is the phrase used by QlikView to describe the purpose of their Business Intelligence (BI) software. QlikView is not like other BI software vendors and it is most definitely not a traditional BI solution.
The successful QlikView approach to BI has been to put organisational information in the hands of the decision makers. A platform of Business Discovery allows staff to derive more than just stagnant data from their software. Instead it empowers staff to ask their own questions and receive accurate information immediately.
QlikView also talk about the ‘business user’ rather than the ‘end user’ because by engaging in Business Discovery, managers and decision makers have the ability to explore their organisational information, rather than receive static reports.
Business Intelligence can provide a lot of data, but Business Discovery allows the user to determine their own path to information.
QlikView were recently positioned by Gartner in the Leaders Quadrant in the 2012 Business Intelligence Platform Magic Quadrant report. Click here to read more >>
